Writing Iron Lung and other shor horror stories… A Twisted Spin Off by Robbie Mori

Writing is something that I have been doing pretty much from age 15. I write horror because darkness is addictive, I still remember checking for monsters under my bed as a child and seeing shadows where there were none.

I have written many horror short stories, getting better all the time, until a good friend recommended Create 50 as a platform for my writing and it was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Being part of Create 50 and especially the Twisted 50 community, was life changing. Having not only two of my stories shortlisted for Twisted 50 Vol. 2, but actually making it into the book with one of them, The Anniversary, gave me the confidence to believe I could be a horror writer.

Twisted 50 Vol. 2 was published in 2018 and since then I have not stopped writing, doing workshops and finally having my solo work published: Iron Lung and other stories – a collection of horror tales with the body as a common link. Included is The Meat Factory, originally shortlisted for Twisted 50 Vol. 2.

I am finalising my next eBook, to be released in November 2020, Ghost Tales at Christmas, a collection of short traditional Christmas Ghost Stories but set in our modern urban landscape.

My big horror project is my first novel, Save Me, which I am currently editing, hoping to pitch to publishers in Spring/Summer 2021. It’s a roller-coaster ride for a group of dysfunctional friends who reunite after 30 years to put something to rest, literally….

Iron Lung and other stories is published on Amazon in Kindle and print formats, you can find it here on my authors page:
