Twisted50... Short Script Development Challenge
OK you demented writers of Twisted50…
Kate, who is working with me, has pitched an idea. She is looking for a horror short script and I suggested we open this up to Twisted50.
Would you like to develop your short into a short script?
She will give feedback on the scripts (I can’t promise all as I don’t know how many we will get, but the intention is all) and the opportunity for second drafts too.
As with all past Create50 projects, we will create the opportunity for filmmakers to download the scripts and make them into shorts. So you should be OK with the scripts going online.
The objective here is to simply push your story through development to create an asset that someone MAY make into a short film. And all the learning and community feedback that comes from it.
Sound exciting? If so, get developing!
Please send ALL scripts to Kate – you will have been inboxed her email.
Deadline for first drafts: Monday October 28th Midnight.
Ideally, keep it at 5 pages. However, you can go up to 10 if you feel the story needs it. Remember the art of screenwriting is saying the most with the least.
Brilliant and how EXCITING!
Filmmaker, author, screenwriter and founder of Twisted50. Currently directing splinter unit on Mission: Impossible 8.

I wrote a couple of stories for Twisted that I didn’t submit in the end. They might actually be better suited to short film format (one I can imagine being suitably low budget). Are we restricted to those stories we’ve submitted previously?
I think we will keep it set to the stories that were sent in for now. Though I have to say we MAY do a script competition in due course.
Evil cackles!
Bring it on!
