AI is here and it’s not going away.
The debate as to the efficacy, ethical nature and a possible dystopian techno future rages. Setting that to one side for a moment though, I have seen several AI videos now, and they almost all have this nightmarish sheen. Often subtle, sometimes overt, as with this one here from artist Petr Válek.
It’s very niche, but heck, if you want to capture what nightares look like, then AI is your tool of choice for sure.
What do you think?

I completely agree. Even when AI is doing anything but horror it still somehow creeps in. It’s not just how extra fingers appear on hands or details fade and blur into each other. Nor is it how some appear to float or are partially enmeshed within solid objects. But take a look at the people in the background, monstrous faces, blurred and grotesque, some appear to be in pain some leering like gargoyles drunk on evil, others terrified, captured within an unending nightmare.
