Kate Bemis

As a Californian living in London, I make movies by day and stories by night. I’ve spent 8 years working in the Los Angeles and San Francisco acting industry, where I learned what made for a good story.

Now, I focus on bringing the human spirit to extravagant worlds, whether it be orcs, space, or magic. I also really like dogs.

Most recently, I’ve written and directed three 20-minute short films: Unbounded, The Fish Know, and The Echoes of Traffic.

I have also completed two spec feature film screenplays, and am in the process of pre-production for one of them: Top to Toe.

Enough words to regret ever signing up for it. It’s perfect.

What Did I Learn Reading The First Half Of Twisted50 Entries?

As I finish up the first half of Twisted 50 stories, organising the spreadhseet for the judges, and offering my thoughts, for what they are worth, I’ve started to pick up an some patterns and have some suggestions for your future writing self (and I will be using these insights too).
